Kihli managed the Mykonos Grace Hotel for its first two seasons (2007 and 2008). Kihli initially provided the owners with consulting services prior to the hotel’s acquisition and then coordinated the successful execution of the refurbishment. Finally, Kihli was responsible for all commercial, sales & marketing and human resources aspects of the pre-opening phase as well as coordinating FF&E procurement.
The Mykonos Grace has been a resounding success ever since its inception. It received the prestigious European Hotel Design Award (www.thesleepevent.com) in 2007 and was included on the acclaimed Condé Nast Traveller’s 2008 Hot List. The hotel’s popularity is also proven by the hotel’s high ranking on www.tripadvisor.com.
Financially, the hotel’s first two operating seasons were successful with the property achieving high occupancies and rates as well as operational profitability.
