What People Say About Our Properties

  • IKIES Traditional Houses
Awesome hotel and view in Oia
“ My wife and I stayed in the Boatman's House, which is a great room with a large balcony and private hot tub overlooking Oia. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What we very much liked is that the hotel is situated right on the edge of Oia, a 5 minute walk to the center which is not far at all but that distance keeps you away from the huge crowds that flock into Oia from the cruise ships. Also, this was the really the best place to see the sunsets. Great hotel! ”
  • IKIES Traditional Houses
    A Bit of Paradise
“ I stayed for two nights at Ikies at the end of September. The hotel is very well managed and the staff were efficient and friendly. Dora gets high points for friendliness and good recommendations. I stayed at the Cook's House which was furnished and designed in a very aesthetically pleasing manner. Wifi was very strong. The pool was a nice retreat in the afternoons. Location is great - not at the busy part of Oia and a comfortable walk to the main village. Breakfast is more than sufficient. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back! ”
  • Elatos Resort & Health Club
“Beautiful resort, wrong time of year”
“ We just spend two nights at the Elatos Resort and thought it was absolutely beautiful. We visit Greece very often, but had never seen anything like this. Surrounded by mountains and pine trees, these cozy but comfortable cabins were exactly our idea of "camping". The cabin we chose had two bedrooms (one w/2-twin beds and one w/a king size bed) and had the most comfortable bedding and mattresses! The cabin also had a very usable kitchenette and dining area and a comfortable living area. The temperature was great and the bath always had warm water. The clubhouse had a beautiful indoor pool w/toys and some safety equipment for the children, a fun play room for the kids, and a great breakfast w/more than enough food and options for four people (did not serve buffet b/c not enough guests in the hotel). All the staff was very accommodating and friendly! Our ONLY complaints about the resort are how far it was from the surrounding towns (especially at night in poorly lit mountain roads), and that we went at low-season which meant there were very few guests which made it feel more lonely than peaceful. I prefer to not be at busy resorts, but I do like there to be some activity around. We would stay there again, but during a busier time of the year. ”
  • Elatos Resort & Health Club
    “Really pleased”
“ I used to work in hotels, and have stayed at my fair share - so can be a bit judgmental when it comes to hotels and their service. Elatos left me NOTHING to complain about. The cabin was fantastic, great furniture, beds, bathroom and layout. Plenty of wood offered for the fireplace and very effective central heating. The staff were all very nice and helpful. They were prepared for our arrival (having asked for 2 cots for our twins) and even had the breakfast table set up the 2nd morning with highchairs all at the ready! The breakfast was yummy and the dining room has a fantastic view. They even have a children's playroom with lots of toys/play things - just a bit dreary as it was a windowless room. Although most rooms come with kitchenettes, only one pot (a briki used to make Greek coffees) was supplied, so don't expect to do any real cooking. ”
  • Spezzie Villas
We just spent 8 marvelous days in the splendid Island
“ We just spent 8 marvelous days in the splendid Island and in a house that made the whole experience even better. A part from its amazing location above the village with a spectacular view, the quality of the furnishing of the house is outstanding. Rarely have I seen such a well thought off decoration. From the tea spoon to the Nespresso machine, from the complementary shower gel to hair dryer, from the candles to the welcome book with all necessary addresses or the maid service, there is nothing that was missed. It is one of these rare places where, from the moment you enter, you feel already like in your own home. Last but not least I would like to thank Christos. He was the most helpful and attentive owner I have happen to meet. His hospitality background can’t go unnoticed ”
  • IKIES Traditional Houses
    Best imaginable Oia experience
“ Ikies is less a traditional luxury experience than it is perfect harmony between hotel and location. Our house was spare, albeit well-appointed, in a way that put nothing between us and the amazing views of Oia and the Caldera. Breakfast on our patio, every morning, was the best we had in Greece. Service was silent, invisible, impeccable - and yet always available. Even the room service was outstanding. We've stayed in more luxurious hotels elsewhere, but never in a hotel that delivered a better experience. ”
